Favorite ATV brand?

Honda, my first ATV was an '86 Honda TRX125 I got from a friend for free and fixed up. I've also had some experience with Yamahas and like their 2 strokes. The Japanese brands all make great dirt bikes as well, I've ridden Honda, Yamaha and Suzuki over the years.

Here is what I've owned for ATVs:
1986 Honda TRX125
2006 Honda TRX250ex
2001 Honda 400ex
1995 Honda Fourtrax 300 4x4 (still own)
1998 Yamaha Blaster (2-stroke)
2004 Honda 400ex bored out to 440cc
1999 Honda Foreman 400 4x4 (now my dad's)

I've also fixed many others for friends/family. I've always wanted a Honda trike, and thought they looked cool with the big balloon tires (like a 250 big red).

We bought our 2018 Arctic Cat/ Textron Alterra 500 new in 2019 before Covid hit and it's been great. It was less than $6000 out the door. It's main use is hauling stuff around the cabin, putting the jet ski in the lake or going out to the fish house. It maybe has 200 miles on it now.

I agree with the Honda crowd. I've had two in the past. 1973 ATC 90 from 1974 to 1980. Then, a 1986 200X, both treated me well. After those, was a big gap until 1997. Bought new Polaris Xplorer 400 2stroke had that 14 years! Engine, OK...chain drive sucked! SOLD! Now, I am the proud owner of a CanAm Defender HD8! It was a 2018 left-over bought in 2019 for less than $10000 otd. Very happy with this SxS in all aspects. CanAm fan for life.
