Since I'll be leaving town Friday to spend time with MY father (who is 79), my teenage daughter just gave me my Father's Day gift. She handed me a $50 Gift Card to Advance Auto parts.
Now this is a big deal for at least a couple of reasons. First off, she's a part time cashier at Walmart. So she's certainly not raking in the cash.
Secondly, she knows NOTHING about cars (I HAVE tried!). The fact that she actually drove to the parts store and went inside to buy the card astounded me.
I did find it fitting, however, that she gave me the gift while I was reading BITOG. Actually, I was looking at the new PQIA information.
Now I have to decide what to purchase. One of the wheel cylinders on the Cherokee leaks brake fluid, so of course that's going to the top of the list.
