Hey fellas well it looks like ill be heading to Texas here in a few months for a job. I have a 2002 Tacoma V6 auto with stock tranny cooler and a TRD tranny cooler along with redline D4 synthetic ATF. My truck doesnt have a tow package so i currently have a orange fan clutch. My question is would it be wise to up grade the fan clutch that comes with the tow package? My goal is to tow about 3500 lbs to keep the weight in the safe range? Thanks.

The fan CLUTCH?

Dunno what that would do for you. It locks at a specified temp, spins the fan, cools the core. Assuming the clutch is running as advertized by the manufacturer, the only thing that would be classified as an upgrade would be a better/bigger fan blade?

Me, I'd convert it to electric and get rid of the clutch altogether.
