Why would you buy it if you can get it at Walmart for $6.47 per bottle?

I don't think motor oil fits the niche of fake merchandising.

That price is in line with Walmart's and CT's Mobil 1 0w-40 price on rollback up here, so I wouldn't be too concerned. Someone probably got rid of their VW/Audi/Benz/BMW or simply bought the wrong oil some time back. Personally, I'd have thrown it in the trunk of the vehicle when I sold it rather than bother with selling it online, but that's just me.

That price is in line with Walmart's and CT's Mobil 1 0w-40 price on rollback up here, so I wouldn't be too concerned. Someone probably got rid of their VW/Audi/Benz/BMW or simply bought the wrong oil some time back. Personally, I'd have thrown it in the trunk of the vehicle when I sold it rather than bother with selling it online, but that's just me.

Advance doesn't price match oil? Is it against store policy now? I used to work for Advance, and we would match the price of anything as long as the price was verifiable.

What's the point? Wherever there is AAP, there is usually also a Walmart nearby, so just go to Walmart and buy it there.

Price matching Mobil 1 US Walmart with Advance Auto Parts.
Walmart that is close dosen't carry the 0w40 ... the closest Walmart that carries is 60KM away so back and forth its 120....
Thats why I wanna go in to the trouble of price matching it.

I would be utterly shocked if they matched any WalMart, especially one across the border. WalMart has huge buying power to drive down cost.
If KIJI or whatever it is cost more than AAP, then why do you suspect it as fake?
I just can't seem to find any logic in this thread.
only options I see are either:
A. find another reason to travel that far to (not really that far away) WM.
B. suck up the price at AAP
C. just do 1 change with a jug of the closest/cheaper viscosity
and for now on stock up when there is a sale.
