Off of a 2024 VW TAOS with 7k on it. Looks ok and adbv probably silicone as soft as bubble gum.

Wire backed still so that’s a +

In/on: Castrol 0w20 meeting VW spec and WIX WL 7503 oil filter.

Thx, Stude. Intersting to see an ecore style centre tube. My 2019 VW 1.4T engine was made in Germany and had a German filter on it.

T is for Turkey and H is for Hamburger

Sample Example - not mein foto

Depends on the vehicle as they have some cartridges too.

To my surprise, my Jetta took the same spin on as many Ford and Chrysler's do, a 3614 equivalent. As a good Bobber I ran 3600's though.

I wonder what the topic filter crosses to?

EDIT: This one appears to cross to 3614 as well. So is it wire backed because it's synthetic media, or is it just the usual German overkill design?

Wire backed with nylon cage - me likes dat !

Looks good. Minus knowing what the efficiency numbers are, that filter checks a lot boxes for me in terms of construction methods used.

I guess that's a Mahle

Don't think so.

There are 2 one is a Mann the other is a FFA who seems to be a turkish manufacturer.

The VW sourced (presently hard to get) "H" filter is identical to the green/yellow box Mann, even has the Mann number on it.

Teh FFA "T" Filter lookks simmilar is some ways, not in others. I prefer the "H" filter.

I've cut most of the available filters apart including Mahle and Hengst. Just search post i started.

Search engines say Mahle and they have a Turkish factory.
Not sure but my VW takes a cartridge...Baldwin made in Taiwan
So no dog in this hunt...

BITOG has all kinds of threads on this...
