i use a clear coat sealant and glaze, followed by a pure carnauba wax. i was given some F21, and would like an opinion. as it's a polish, would it be abrasive enough to strip the sealant and glaze from the clear coat ? thankyou.

F21 (aka Finish 2001) was developed by Turtle Wax as a competitor to NuFinish. IIRC, 2001 was so close in name and performance that Reed-Union, makers of NuFinish, sued Turtle Wax.

I don't know what it's like in its current guise but I'm sure it'll remove any wax or polish on the paint now.

Maybe do a side-by-side comparo and see which one you like better.

I've been using the 2001 stuff for a couple of years and it lasts for a good year on my two Jeeps. The water is still beading after a hard season of winter, moose hunting, sun, rain etc.I just clay-bared the Cherokee and applied F21 on it last week. The other Jeep (Wrangler) I just waxed it with the F21.Shine looks great on both and we'll have to wait till next year to see how the durability fairs over the year.If the F21 is a good as the 2001 then I'll be happy!I think it has to do alot with the factory paint quality.Chrysler paint jobs on newer (2000-up)vehicles have good paint IMO.Even my friends 93 Jeep Grand Cherokee's original paint looks pretty good, and he does nothing to that vehicle.
