I have a 2015 F250 with the 6R140 transmissionmission. I recently had to replace a faulty valve body and went with one from RevMax. Prior to changing the valve body my transmission temps were always in the 180-200f range, sometimes slightly over 200 when towing. Now, with the RevMax valve body, the highest I have seen the transmission temp is 126f. I don't really know much about A/T's, but it seems like this valve body just always allows fluid to the transmission cooler and isn't thermostatic.
My question is, does this pose a problem as far at the operating temperature of the fluid? Would the viscosity difference between 126f and 190f be different enough that it's not able to function properly?
Obviously I know cooler is generally better, but to what extent? Ford could have done this from factory I would think, so I'm just wondering if it's ok.
