I'm a little late with my post, but.....
I remember when "Eye of the Tiger" first came out, so this song is not a new one. Fast forward to just a couple of years ago and my wife and I went to a concert at the Kansas State Fair. Survivor was the warm up band for whoever the headliner group was and Survivor (of course), played "Eye of the Tiger". And the crowd went wild. However, I was just sitting back in amusement because the lead singer was so young I'm not sure of he was even born when this song first came out. I get it, band members come and go like marital spouses, but it was somewhat comical to see a young kid sing this song.
I had to Wiki the band Survivor to see how many of the members moved in and out.
What I find truly comical is when people mega big bucks to see a big-name band and then they find out later that there are few or no original members. I'm going to pick on this band only because it's at the top of my head, but how many original members does the band Foreigner now have? Don't bother replying, I know the answer. But shouldn't this band now be called a cover band?
