Came across this artistic home made display at Walmart in Calgary. The manager realized if you arrange the oil nicely people are more prone to pay the regular price. I'm not making this up. The regular price of $50 is $37.50 US. It goes on sale like clockwork for $30 CDN, or just over $21 US. Enjoy.

P.S. Please don't turn this into a US vs Canadian Health Care discussion.

I like the Wallmart "rollback" price signs. I buy diet Pepsi when its on sale via a "rollback" price".

The signs I never see are the "rollup" signs where they have rolled the price up to its normal price and its no longer a good deal.

That would be a waste of money for Walmart. And it would provide no further information for shoppers....other than you missed the previous sale. What USA retailer in any consumer sector tells you when the price has returned to normal following a sale?

I haven't purchased any mobil product for 20 years...and don't plan to...and people who pay full retail price for oil when it regularly goes on sale everywhere are morons.

I quit using it in the 80's and even though the product today doesn't resemble the old stuff, I never
went back.

I buy 5 qt jugs (usually 3-4 at a time)when the price drops below 20 dollars. At the time of my last purchase Mobil 1 was cheaper than I could get Castrol Magnatech fo anywhere. So delivered to my home 3jugs were.

The best advertising is reduced price. We dont have to go into store to see who,has the best price.
A quick check of Walmart.com and amazon.com and I can make a decision.

I've used Mobil 1 oils for 41 years. You guys or gals, which ever you are, seem frustrated.

Well if you hook up on a dyno for testing with a bunch of surveillance that's not real world enough
So they test on the road and folks say there is not good control of parameters doing it that way
And in both cases do used oil analysis in a state of the art lab with a team of experts … tear downs etc …

So perhaps that only leaves yellow cars smoking tires to prove something …

our local WEIS store recently started marketing differently showing a few things a few cents cheaper than Wallys but everything else is a LOT more!! before they had any competition locally they really RAPPED the customers!! buyer beware today, so if your not $$$$ or don't mind overpaying you gotta shop around, + the costlier the purchase the more i shop!!

Yeah, I remember in 2011 and 2012 when we were going down to the outlet stores in Coer d'Alene to buy stuff from your outlet stores. Your dollar went wimpy and ours was worth more. It's all about the price of oil.

Not at all...for my uses....my money is better spent elsewhere.

The 4.73L jugs went on for $23.97 on Black Friday. I picked up 3 X 0W40 and 2 X 5W30 Dexos at the WM at Hinton, Alberta. Wish I bought more 0W40.
