In my area I use top tier gas, specifically Exxon Synergy Supreme+ premium gasoline 93.

Saw this and was curious. Is this possible or mainly marketing?

Friction modifier – the ingredient protects your engine by reducing wear and tear by 30%.‡‡ (Benefit available only in Synergy Supreme+ premium gasoline)

Wear and tear on injectors, etc?

Found is interesting nonetheless.

Only on their premium gasoline. Shell's attitude is in all grades.

Would please provide a link to that. From what I can find, it’s only in their V-Power Nitro+.

Also watch this video from LSJ where he talks about using premium fuel to reduce engine wear.

All grades of shell gasoline are top-tier; the premium v power has n't even more additives. I usually use the mid grade silver gas at Shell which I assume is a mixture of both the premium and the regular so the mid-level should have a pretty good dosage

My guess is a UCL copycat similar to Shell V-Power Nitro+

Mid grade is the gas most likely to be mis labeled on purpose for profit I would mix my own

ExxonMobil Research Engineering developed Synergy …
(something like 7 additives) …
I was running the mid before the price spikes …
Jeep back to RUG, PEA at OCI end, and TCW3 …
Only the Mustang gets Synergy …

Looks like Exxon 93 is going to be my top choice, knocking out Shell

For me, I go with BP primarily and Quik-Trip as my second option. There are no Exxon stations that I know of in my area, but there are a few Shell stations.

I consistently get 1.5 mpg more with Exxon. No mileage increase with Shell. So maybe the Exxon friction modifiers at work, but I use 87 and it says modifier only available in 93. I don't know other than the mileage increase.

My understanding is that mid-grades are a mixture of regular and supreme and thus mid-range also would have the detergent that you say only supreme has
