Exxon 20/50 wt oil.

Has anyone used this oil in their bike? says on the bottle it has a SG Api rating. Found a bunch for $2.99 a qt, don't know if its worth trying.I looked thru 42 pages of uoas and couldn't find any mention of it.,,

Yes, look in the UOA and you will see some Superflo 20w50

SG is some pretty old stuff-plenty of zinc probably, but high noack (volatility), and not an oil I would leave in there long. And I would only buy if fifty cents per qt. You can get a modern, cleaner running 20W-50 oil for that price.

It would be fine for a motorcycle. They mash the oil up in no time and you dont run it for a long time between changes. I used 20w50 in my KLR650. It was ok. I prefer the diesel truck oil 15w40 though.

SG for $2.99 is too much.

Local WM clearancing QS 20w50 at $1/qt. YMMV. Mine had some SL, some SM. I normally run 15w40 HDEO but might try this stuff out.

For $3 a quart, I got some SL rated red cap 15w50 that I would sell you if you were closer.
