External Transmission Filter Installation

I noticed in the routing pic the hose was up against some metal when it went through the hole. It might be a good place to place a protective cover over the hose. Usually I take either the same diameter or one size larger hose section, split it lengthwise and just place it over the hose I'm protecting. A couple of zip ties will hold it in place. Also, the black zip ties I use have some sort of ozone resistance to them and are touted as being better than the white ones when used in automotive applications. If you ask me where I got the zip ties from I'm going to plead oldtimers disease!

hi-miler,
If you're referring to the 6th picture, where the hoses go into the engine bay, this picture was taken earlier and not at the same time as the finished install. The hoses are not hanging as low as they are in the picture, so it's not necessarily pushed tightly against the frame. I gave everything plenty of wiggle room so nothing collapses the hoses.

However, you make a good point and I will consider it if it appears that the hoses are getting damaged when rubbing against the frame.
