I used the Delo400 15w40/MMO. After 500 miles I drained the oil. Can't say if it did some damage or not but didn't feel comfortable going any further.

The last fill of PP and a fram TG went 8k.
Current fill is PP and a fram ultra. Gonna push it to 10k. Consumption is still lower than before. I will monitor it much more closely this time and report findings.

Sounds like you have saved her neglected engine. Nice job! I've had the same consumption pattern when switching an older vehicle to synthetic...initially uses some, which tapers off and goes to 0 or close to 0 consumption.
