Need to replace the middle pipe on a 2010 Civic. Looks like my choices are limited to Walker, NAPA, or possibly Honda OEM? Any thoughts or recommendations?

Check the price of OEM. I have noticed a lot of parts pricing here is getting close to the aftermarket. Or else aftermarket are upping their prices to be close to OEM. Not always, but worth a phone call at least.

Had a customer come in today wanting to know if I could price match ebay on a Mazda CX-5 center console latch. Ebay had it for like $16 and regular price from Mazda is $6.35 and I have 4 on the shelf.

Are you the original owner? I was a tech at a Honda dealer for a minute before going to Nashville auto diesel college. Honda's at one time came with a lifetime exhaust system warranty for the original owner.
I don't know if that is still in effect or not.

I replaced the mufflers on the Monte with Walkers about 5ish years ago. They just rusted through/off last month. Not sure if that's typical or not for Walkers but it's at least one point of reference.

Well, there is Magnaflow

Walker makes decent mufflers and pipes that fit perfect with no problems.

You might want to consider those 304 exhausts on eBay. They may sound a bit ricey, but the 304 stainless won't rust

I like OE if you are going to keep the car, whatever you can find that will fit the need if you are junking it soon or selling it.

I like OE too but sometimes the prices are crazy. For some VW I get OE mid pipe with resonator cheaper than walker but a poster here looked for OE Honda and it was crazy money, you could replace it with aftermarket 5 times for the same price. My rule of thumb is double the price or less for mufflers and pipes I go OE (does not inc $$$ cats for old cars.

At this point in my life, if I am gonna keep the car, I go OEM. As you can tell in my sig, I am gonna keep my cars....

As a point of reference, I have NEVER been satisfied with any non OEM muffler. I have tried 3 times in my life as an adult (30+ years of age) and each time I made a bad decision.
My last bad decision was on my 4Runner in 2017...

IF you wouldn't give me all your stuff you would have more money to buy the OEM stuff. LOL.....

Thanks for the feedback - I'll check out the price at the Honda dealer. As a curiosity, how do NAPA and Walker stack up compared to what you would get a typical chain muffler shop?

$270 at the dealer - about $100 for NAPA or Walker - bummer - will use your rule of thumb since it doesn't look to be too bad of a job

probably about the same

Much better quality steel not necessarily thicker. I buy a lot of autobody sheet metal, the stuff I was getting at the autobody supply store would rust in no time, it was so bad the little curly bits made by the shears would rust in a day or 2.
Then I went to sheet metal fab shop and bought it there, holy cow what a difference, I threw a small uncoated piece outside and it only had minor surface rust after 3 months.
The cost is almost double for the good stuff but the repair will outlive the car.

I see some OE pipes still going (albeit rusty but not through) at almost 20 years, the walker is finished in 3-5 under the same conditions.
