Exhaust Leak...

I have a 4.3L Vortec Engine that seems to be leaking fumes into the interior. Besides the exhaust itself...any ideas?

any where from the cyl head exhaust manifold gaskets on down can cause this. Needs to be inspected thoroughly , if you have a leak in front of the converter thats getting into the cab, it can be deadly i.e. carbon monoxide.

Fumes?

What do you smell?

Could be fuel, coolant, burned oil or coolant that dripped on the exhaust , or exhaust gas.

Just your regular exhaust fumes.
