Ever had heated or cooled seats?

We bought a used 2012 Nissan Leaf with heated seats and maybe steering wheel . Was totaled before it got warm enough to try them out . :-(
I like heated seats myself however the seats themselves typically aren't as conforming, it pulls a lot of power, and manufacturing defects usually show up as smoke in the cabin or vehicle fire.

There are 3 things I will never live without on any new/used vehicle going forward again. Those are heated seats, a heated steering wheel and a back up camera.
I was pleasantly surprised when I purchased my 2013 Ram that heated cloth seats were an option. Unlike GM at the time, and it may still be the case, in order to get heated seats you needed to option for leather seating.
My wife's 2017 Impala Premier came with leather heated seats but no heated steering wheel. Can't believe how stupid that was of GM but of course they want you to order "up" to the next $2,500 dollar option where a heated steering wheel and heated outside mirrors are included.

If you ever get them, like me, you will probably never be without them again. On cold winter mornings, coming out of a cold hockey arena, or back from snowmobiling, they are a godsend!
I especially enjoy them when my truck has no heat yet. Hop in after clearing the windows or whatever, they sure help to warm you up until the heat arrives in your vehicle.
Most times, even after my truck has warmed up with some good heat, I'll keep them on low. My steering wheel only has one setting and after a while, it gets fairly warm/hot so I'll shut that off but if it was regulated like my seat, I'd likely leave that on as well.

Have heated seats love them. Want heated steering wheel too.
In the finest BTOG tradition, unless needed to keep windshield clear, I do not run heater until engine fully warm. Saves gas (2 mpg) and gets the moisture out of the oil much better on my 8 mile commute.

The remote start heat is awesome. It kicks in automatically if ambient is below 3C. So you get into a vehicle with a warm seat and wheel.

Mercedes has had it as an option on their S class. They also have heated and cooled cup holders on the GLS.
I saw that option on a couple of higher end cars. Now that could be considered a gimmick just like accent lighting

I rode in a friends F-150 that actually had massaging seats. I really liked those. The new Mustang has heated and cooled seats. The wife really likes them but I could take them or leave them. The cooler feels to me like I just sat in cold water. Again, I would like the option of massaging seats for my bad back.
