Well that’s good if they do. I can’t tell when I am driving. I prefer any type of braking should put the brake lights on, just like the gas cars I drive. There is almost no threshold I believe before the brake light switch comes on, even before any braking begins, within the free play range. That’s the way it should be to alert drivers you are even thinking about braking. Personally I watch brake lights carefully and if someone is just starting to brake, even thinking about it, I want all the warning I can get.
I know in a manual car engine braking is there with no brake lights but that system with a simple brake light switch did have that limitation. It seems to me ev one pedal driving has some limitation too, with “thresholds.”
