I've used lots of it in my VW. Here's a pic from a while back, before an oil change.

It's the Porsche recommended oil. I used it in my 996.

I read somewhere that Porsche discontinued recommending use of 0W40's in their engines because the Mobil 0W40's degraded too quickly. From reading Motul discontinued production of the Motul Etech 0W40 for that same reason as it could no longer be used in Porsche's.
