Run your competition out of business, and then raise the price.

It's anti-competitive, and was widely employed by the first wave of foreign exporters to destroy U.S. industry, in spite of the Anti Dumping Act of 1916.

See Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. v. Zenith Radio Corp., 475 U.S. 574 (1986) for an example. Zenith lost that case.

Yes as they sign their own future unemployment check. They cant see the forest for the trees.
Its a real shame.

I am not a fan of stainless bolts. Too hard to drill out when they shear. In general, most nuts and bolts, nails and screws aren't made in the US. Same with plumbing bits. I dunno where my Ranger's fasteners came from, but they made for a miserable clutch job. Only 2 of the six 10 X 50 mm bolts holding on the transfer case got re-used. The half shaft bolts from a 528e made better than original replacements. 8.8 grade. They are 8mm Allen heads. I had a coffee can full of them from stripping and scrapping 4 old Bimmers, last year. My father's original Bug mechanic was a 60 yr old German from the old country. Dad was taught German so he could monitor the Luftwaffe radios, so they got along well. Karl's endorsement of bugs was " Goot Cherman schteel"

That's true for many average consumers but I'd say the people most responsible for all the importing know exactly what they're doing.

Oh absolutely. If these buggers in government wont apply huge tariffs to Chinese goods to make them considerably more expensive then its up to the consumer to make it unprofitable to bring them in by keeping their wallets closed.
Sometimes the fight has to start at the grass roots level.
