Etched pine tree sap

So I was able to remove the sap with some degreaser, however, it has been etched in. I have tried using a DA to polish it but it does not work. Any suggestions?

I have used Stoner Car Care’s tar and sap remover in the past with great success. Yes, laugh at the name all you want. It’s perfect for dissolving road grime on chrome motorcycle exhaust pipes too.
