Has anyone use Esso motor oil or heard of any problems of their products as in quality issues or is it a myth that i just learned today like for example of sludge build up and low quality of cheap products on shelves.I think its a great oil but i heard other wise when i was at a gas station looking at the prices of Esso 10w30 conventional.Your thoughts please

Welcome! If you use the search function you'll find ESSO products are very highly regarded here. Especially XD-3 Heavy Duty Engine Oil, one of the finest oils available in Canada. XD-3 is generally much less expensive than other premium synthetics as well.

Thanks Yuk..i just thought to throw this one out there to see what everyone thinks about this kind of brand. You never here much about it here on the board unless i missed something. Thanks again Yuk

been using XD3 in my saab for years, had great used oil analysis and over very happy with the product. Cant go wrong with a PAO oil for 20$/4L

BennyL that sounds like a plan to me your right.Im going to try and get in there one time this weekend but im in no rush just yet.My next oil change is next month and i just found out my brother has it in drums at his shop and i thought all this time he had valvoline jeeeeez!!!!Not against valvoline as i used it for years and a great oil at that..I will talk to my brother where he bought his stock from.He did my oil change a few times and he switched to Esso as it was cheaper he said.He did have valvoline for a great period of time and he told me the other day what i thought about Esso and BAM it hit the nail on the head and i told him my story about someone bad mouthing Esso brands and dont trust it etc. so yes he just laughed.
