The car in video 3 only changed oil once or twice in 135k miles. It's amazing that it was running after 100k miles.
The MB CL500 in the first video probably did not follow the FSS which is about 12-15k miles OCI, it has so much sludge that it can muck out at the fill hole.

The last video is interesting because I read that article at the local Mobil gas station on Leman Highway in Bath, Me. were I lived in 1978. The Mobil station was the only place where M1 could be purchased at that time. Price? $5.00 per qt. I was using 10-40 Valvoline then(with a short time with Amsoil) and had a bad lifter clatter with cold starts in extreme cold temps. Of course after switching to Amsoil, then M1 in early 78, that problem was gone. It's really starange to here of that article that I had read so many years ago.
Those are just nasty... I have tore down and rebuilt some nasty sludged engines but nothing like these monsters...

I worked with an ex GM engineer in the early 80's. We of course, talked motor oil and such. He said that their data showed the average (don't remember if that's the term he used) owner of a new GM vehicle changed the oil once during the time they owned it.

Just another example shows that smart people by Mopars (not chevys).

That is just a pain in the butt way to clean a sludged engine.
Pull the valve cover and oil pan. Mask off the engine compartment with plastic, and grab the pressure washer (better yet get your helper to use the pressure washer). Blast it clean. Rotate the engine a couple of times to get all sides of the crank and cams, blow dry it, clean the oil pickup and reassemble. After its done, take your helper out back and hose him off.
