Well then... You're getting older and your tires are getting more wear.

Tires with less tread should be faster...

Unless they have been through enough heat cycles that they are now becoming hard.

OP, there are simply too many unknown variables to say definitively what caused your slower lap times.

Did the car seem down on power in the straights, or lacking grip in the turns?
As you gain experience on the track, you will be able to detect slight differences like that.

Or maybe you just forgot how to get through one turn that you were doing better last fall.

It did feel a tad slower. Or maybe the driver was just slower...

I do about 30 track days a year and yes, 2 sec is alot. It ain't your oil

, that's for sure.....as stated, could be many things; physical, mental, mechanical....I run street tires as far down as is safe/legal and they're the fastest right at the end of their life (they're noticeable lighter in weight too--when I replace a worn one with a new one I can definitely feel the difference. Not that big a deal with all your hp but I've only got 121 so every bit counts!) If this was your first track day of the year it's really hard to pick up where you left off after a full season the year before. You'll get faster as the year progresses.

My first 2017 event is in less than 3 weeks; I too am using a different oil this year as the one I used last year is NLA, so if I'm slow I can also blame the oil!
