Eneos now at napa

I was just at napa auto parts picking up the last couple quarts of (gag) Mobil 1 0w-20 for my next oil change and I spotted the eneos right up front with the liqui-moly. Looks like they have the top tech liqui-moly line now too,or whatever it's called.
Just a heads up for my Canadian counterparts since if we have it here its pretty much gotta be everywhere.

Well I already had 4 quarts of the afe and I wanted to give it a honest shot in my hemi.
The whole gag thing is because I've been complaining about Mobil for quite some time now however I figured its a new year and time to shed some old notions and keep a more open mind.
It was a joke I guess you could say

It's a line of oil made in Japan. It's one of those high viscosity index oils Caterham writes about.
I think I'm going to try it next after the Mobil run unless ambient temps have warmed to the point I can start using my Amsoil stash.
The truck is my winter transport and won't see much use come summer other than the odd weekend at the lake pulling my trailer or pulling the dump trailer to get rid of the garbage from our spec houses.

Well, I can make exceptions. I mean if it is there and easy to buy I'll have to pick up a jug.

Its the eneos sustina line that has a VI of over 200. Regular eneos 0w20 has a VI of under 200. 190 something if I remember correctly.

Better question: why would Mobil 1 0w20 be "gag" in the first place? By all accounts its a superb oil. I've certainly had great performance from it in the Ram. Held up like a champ during the satanic-hot summer of 2010, towing a trailer west on I-10 at or near the legal 80 MPH limit in ambients up to 110F. The little 4.7 worked very hard in the heat, and the 0w20 never let the idle oil pressure (measured just after pulling off the exit ramps at fueling stops) drop more than 1-2 psi compared to cool weather/city fully warmed engine numbers. Eneos may be great, but I'm not convinced it really beats Mobil 1, PP, PU, etc. in performance/$$.

It was a joke. If any one here noticed my previous posts for the past years I was anti Mobil 1 due to a few bad experiences.
Yes. It's good oil and I've decided to get over my Mobil bias and give it an honest shot in my hemi. The cold flow characteristics are superb for the winter temps we experience here,and tigs decades of experience with it has me wanting to give it an honest try.
Heck guys,I just came over to the thin oil base camp,I'm taking baby steps here. I want to dump half a gallon of 0w-40 in there just to put my mind at ease.

I didn't notice if it said sustina. It's the first time I've seen the oil in stores.

My local NAPA has had eneos for a while. My first oil change in the Mazda was with Eneos 0W-20, it came back with a very nice UOA considering it was an 8000 mile run, and first oil change.

ENEOS is the brand name that Nippon Oil sells under.
For North America ENEOS is actually made at the Nippon oil plant in Alabama.

ENEOS oils are carried by NAPA and Carquest in Canada, but they don't carry the super premium ENEOS Sustina oils.

Regarding the ENEOS 0W-20 for $38/gal, it's no deal.
If it's the latest SN version, the VI is "only" 179; the previous SM version did have a 200 VI.
I don't know why anyone would bother with it when you can get the Mobil made Toyota 0W-20 with it's 216 VI for only $5.65/L.

I think it's just the normal Eneos, and not the Sustina, at least not yet. I've noticed for some time that Napa Canada's website recommends I use Eneos 5w30 for oil changes. Okay.

What was the price? Was it around $38 a gallon like Caterham mentioned? I've never seen it on sale in their promotions.
