If you are looking for a great free email program I highly recommend that you try Thunderbird. I use it and have 4 separate accounts setup. It is available in Windows, Linux, and Mac Os versions.

There also is a free "Portable Windows Version Of Thunderbird" that you can install on your USB Thumb Drive.

We travel quite a bit and dragged a laptop around for a long time. Now I have a USB Drive that I take along as I find that I can always locate a computer that I can borrow for a few minutes.

Been using Thunderbird for over a year now. I like pretty much like everything about it, I like that it can be customized..... but what I don't like is the lack of easy back up..... have you figured that out? I want to save/back-up my email address list. How to?

Click on the "Address Book Icon", Then click on "Tools", then on "Export". You can save in three formats. Call the file what you would like. Recommend that you save it in all three formats + if you save it in the text mode, you can print out a hard copy for your archives too.

Notice that there is an import option too.

Pablo give the following freeware program a try if you want to backup. It allows you to backup and restore bookmarks, mail, contacts, history, extensions, cache etc.

Yep, been using Tbird for almost 2yrs too. Started using in Win98 and now also use in Ubuntu under a dual boot config. I have the all mailboxes under Win and it's accesible on both OS'es.
