Elon to announce the Model "C"

Surprised by how many people have issues with climate control.

I set mine to 20°c (68°f), hit auto and never have to touch it...ever.

I also leave my A/C on all the time, in the summer you get cooling benefits and in the colder, wetter months it helps to keep the interior dry and the windows clear.

If it's a very hot day, I'll open the windows using the global opening/closing feature via the key while I'm walking to the car. This helps to cool the interior down before I get to the car.

I like to have fresh air or cool air in my face while driving. So I have the vents adjusted to direct air that way. My issue with the Auto feature is that when you start the car the system tries to reach the desired temperature as quickly as possible and therefore turns on the fan to the highest and noisiest speed and is just too much "in my face". I can get the cabin condition as cool as I want or as warm as I want quickly enough by doing it manually. Heated seats and steering wheel and cooled seats help a lot too.

For many months of the year I just leave the ventilation system on the lowest fan setting and without AC or heat and outside air feels fine. Except my Infiniti G35 Coupe which had a poorly designed HVAC system and the outside air intake was getting air from over the engine and even if it was 50 degrees outside the air coming in was warm so the AC needed to be used pretty much all the time.

But I still will argue that there is nothing obsolete about being able to reach down and operate the HVAC system by touch, feel and muscle memory while never taking your eyes off the road.To me, the most useful application of voice commands is when using one's phone. I press a button on the steering wheel and when the voice responds I yell back something like "CALL HOME" and about 75% of the time it works without having to repeat myself.
