Poor design expecting such plastic to handle in and out for yearsThats crazy
Try to paint a better pictureI debated between saying "shoulda bought the speed queen"
and asking what's actually broken since its not that easy to tell from your pics.
Until 2022 I had a 1974 Kenmore dryer that was in a house that was being flipped and I got for free. It was the old dryer and had been replaced at some point, was left in the basement next to a newer one and had been in a flood. A donor motor from a more-modern $15 but broken Roper dryer got it up and running and I used it for many years until the timer shorted out and was not replaceable or repairable. Cannot say enough about how indestructible those old top-filter Whirlpool dryers used to be.In another life I was an appliance repair man. Back then machines were designed with reliability in mind. Sadly no longer the case.
I had a Kenmore cheapo washer and dryer pair that I bought back in the late 70's. Nineteen years later the washer was still in service. Easily replaced the water pump when it leaked. Before I moved out of the house the lid rusted off of it. I spotted one on the curb for the trash man. It had a like new lid which I robbed.
For all I know that washer may still be in service.
I know a guy that owns a large appliance sales and service company. He said that if my buddies old dryer died to have him rebuild the old unit because the new stuff was just junk.
Got a buddy who just closed his shop and retired. He had his own appliance service company for all brands. At one time he had over $45,000 worth of appliances and parts in his inventory. He has a very similar take on his feelings about new products being sold. I been buying Whirlpool or Maytag since Sears/Kenmore bit the dust. They are both the same company with claims? to be Made In USA. Someone told me the Maytags are a bit higher quality and cost a bit more. Both have worked out well for us.In another life I was an appliance repair man. Back then machines were designed with reliability in mind. Sadly no longer the case.

Got one now the wife and I use at least once a day. Sometimes more. It is so old I can not even remember or guess what year we got it? The washer has actually had (3) different clothes dryers next to it in all that time. An electric Kenmore, lasted over 15 yrs, another electric but cheaper Kenmore and now a natural gas Whirlpool. We been joking and watching to see if that washing machine will out last us!?Until 2022 I had a 1974 Kenmore dryer that was in a house that was being flipped and I got for free. Is that the detergent dispenser drawer? And previously attached handle?
Do the make a metal version? Not sure about your washing machine but I've seen metal parts offered on the higher end version of the same machine. Is that the detergent dispenser drawer? And previously attached handle?
Really? This was not a low end machine supposedly. Never seen a metal versionDo the make a metal version? Not sure about your washing machine but I've seen metal parts offered on the higher end version of the same machine.
That’s exactly what I’m doing hahahaI'd file a claim with Electrolux for a replacement soap dispenser. If they don't ask for the broken part to be returned, I would glue it back together with JB Weld epoxy and keep it on hand when the replacement part breaks...probably after the warranty expires.
