The mindless regurgitation of political talking points only removes credibility from your posting.

Many subsidies are nothing but crony pay outs. Innovation also occurs without central control. Granted infrastructure is a great thing but look what we need to do there! All due to poor management by the high commanders.

Remember Tesla, the real genius of power who dared to tangle with BIG money and Edison?

Tesla worked for Westinghouse...hardly "small" money.

He died penniless living in the New Yorker hotel, because unlike others he wasn't a penny pinching, nickle hording slime bag. It was all about the science.

You guys don't understand unless you're an engineer trying to do something new and interesting. Your bosses only care about the bottom line, have no vision and no love for science at all. They want you to assure them your idea will make money, when you have no idea. You're breaking new ground.

That's what's wrong with this country. Too many MBAs and hacks that don't understand what they're managing. Tesla would detest working in this environment.

Nice post turtlevette.

When pressured to get an MBA, my response was that I was happy as an engineer with half my brain sucked out (according to MGMNT types)...wasn't going to sacrifice the other half.
