Electric polishers/buffers/orbital buffers

hey guys,

I am not familair with electric wax and polish application. I do everything by hand and get great results (don't see how it could be any better). I have a hard time making time to wax anymore (work and school) so I wondering if there was any benefit or improvement to a electrical buffer?

Also I don't know the difference between just a polisher, an orbital buffer, random oritbal, etc?

I've heard you can really screw up a paint job with one of these.

The only thing I have been using on my Red Jeep is Zymol Cleaner-Wax. I know it isn't the best but it smells so good and goes on and off so easy. It also leaves an unbelievable shine. I think it works good for what I do. I use 3M products on my Jetski (Finesse-It II and Ultra marine performance wax). I won't use a electrical on it though...

I would be open to switching products and using a electrical tool if I could get the same results or better and save time.

with comments from this site, i went the easy way and got a craftsman random orbital 6'' buffer...small compact, and nice to get into places

i use it to apply wax and stuff...it has been the best 20 dollars i spent, yes 20 bucks!!!

my time has cut in half and my looks have become 2x as much...

i can hold a beer and wax my car at the same time

ill give that one for bob!

i didnt want to go to porter cable cause it was a bit out of my price...hehe 20 bucks, worth a shot
