Having trouble with WiFi dead zones in the house. Streaming is intermittent to my Wiim Pro plus in the lower level listening area (man cave). My condo has three levels. The lower is a fully furnished walkout. Internet service is Comcast Xfinity with their fastest modem/router located in the center of the middle level.
I purchased eero 7 three pack and would like real world advice on the most effective setup. Obviously, none of these can be line of sight. Also, none can be directly connected to an Ethernet port.

My situation is similar (except I have Eero 6.)

Connected Modem in middle level to main Eero (via RJ45.) Then put the top one on one end of the house, and the bottom one on the other end of house.) YMMV on placement and I would encourage you to experiment on placement.

MESH is pretty good, so should work fine for you. The above placement nets me about 350Meg via WIFi most places in the house. I have 600Meg internet via RJ45.

We have a two story house which we were struggling with. We have 3N° EERO 6+'s.

We have one right in the corner of the ground floor at the front of the house where fibre enters and is 'converted' to an RJ45 via an ONT. Then we have another in the centre of the house on the same floor. Then the third one is directly above the one in the middle of the house.

They do work better plugged in to each other, so if you have that option it's probably preferable.

If you could get them all 'stacked' in the centre of each floor I imagine it would work really well.

I installed three Eero 6+ in our house with very good success. Our cable modem is in my office, which is at the very far end of the house. I connected one Eero to the modem in my office and placed the two others in positions on the other side of the house.

The way I verified best placement and coverage was, 1) verify whether or not I had any connectively at all and 2) test download speeds in the areas I had connectivity. I used my iPad for this, walking around different areas in the house, testing each area by using one of the common internet speed testers.

They have made significant improvements in coverage and speed, and have worked flawlessly since I installed them.

Thanks for your help. Will give different locations a try. Should be arriving today. Great idea for testing the speed in all areas for before and after.

I have 2, one on each floor of my 2600 sf house. Works great anywhere in house even the basement. It also reaches the yard and separate garage. But I am in the country and don't have congestion problems.

They are super easy to install, place, and move around. IIRC, starting with the 6+ models, there isn't a base station that needs to be plugged into your modem. The three units were identical and can be used anywhere. I installed using their app. Super easy.

Just because I'm that kind of guy, I've already done power fail testing and such, even swapping unit locations just to see what happens. After a minute or so everything comes back to normal.

Late reply, but after trying several locations, got great WiFi signal all through the house. Appreciate all your input.
