Edmunds ranks full size trucks

In regards to the Silverado and "subscriptions". After three months you turn on the hotspot (the truck connects to that) on your phone and everything works just great. Can't speak as to the subscription for Super cruise-just the google stuff. Also-the Silverado/Sierra which are mechanically identical-sells more trucks than the F150--which is the single largest selling nameplate.

Ford, GM, all other brands. Go karts with beds. Dodge.
Dodge you are living in the past.. its Ram now.. no dodge ;)

Also people who actually own Rams might disagree.

It IS a popular bash on Bitog though.
Dont let facts get in the way of your bias
(no really I'd encourage you to go drive them all)

The 2020 ram which isnt even a high trim (bighorn 2 with some special edition options)
is almost a rolling luxury sedan as far as ride, power etc.

With all the bashing here you would think it needed alot of work

So far 2 exhaust manifolds - warranty (also common for ford and gm v8's )
a $120 4wd actuator at 66000 miles and 5 years old
3 windshields.. (I-77 commute is a window killer)

Tires once, the regular fluids maintenance .

Pretty much the opposite how I'd rank them. I think the GMs are the best and the Ford is the lowest.
Same here. I usually see the soccer moms/leases crowd in F150s. Not a hard bar to meet when you know it’s gone in 2-3 years!

GMs implementation of 10-speed transmission calibration is miles ahead of Ford.

I spent 6 months looking for a new truck. The 2024 F150 5.0 was my choice. A year later, I'm still in love with it. The Lariat is very comfy and quiet. The tech is great and works well. Waze, Apple maps, Sirius XM, Amazon. The audio system is acceptable, not fantastic, but will 'rock out'.

Yes, I turned off all the nanny stuff and don't use BlueCruise. Even so, the truck has been amazingly good. I don't yet have a tune on it, but a 93 octane tune adds 31HP/37TQ and eliminates acceleration annoyances, such as torque limiting and throttle plate lag. I fully expect the tune will make the truck perfect.

Personally, I think they're all garbage in one way or another.

That being said. My '25 Powerboost is a lovely truck, it does so many things well it is hard not to see why they sell so many of the things. And mine is just an XLT, I don't need ALL the niceties, but this one has just enough.

And it is fast, properly, sneaky fast.

I wrote about this. I had an F150 for like 10 months with the ten speed. It (the transmission) was an unmitigated piece of garbage. The 3.5 however was a beast. I traded it in with less than 40,000 miles on it for a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado with the 5.3 and ten speed. I - and many others on here don't know how many hard parts are shared with the transmission in the F150-but the Silverados ten speed is far superior.

I now understand the transmission has improved.

And yea-lost large bucks on that F 150.

The 10 speed in my F-150 has been flawless.

Ford known 10 speed transmission is garbage.
Chevy/GM known 10 speed transmission is garbage AND 6.2 L engine can die as soon as you Drive it off the lot.
GM and Ford together made the horrible 10 speed transmission.
I have the Ford 10R80 in my MACH 1. Total crap manufacturing! At a few thousand miles, I fought and fought with dealerships and Ford and finally got it replaced under warranty, at 9k miles.
I also sued Ford for their known pile of crap transmission and won $12,000 but I only got to keep $7000 and change because the lawyers got the rest.
