Hey everyone. I have a 03 cavalier with the newer ecotec engine. My sister in law has a saturn Ion. I couldnt help but to notice that my ecotec has a very tiny air box, that was re-used from back in the old 2200 days. Hers however, is nearly twice the size, (maybe almost 3x the size) of my airbox. They are the exact same engines. What it seems to me is that chevy re-used the old airbox to save some $$, or to make everything fit under the hood perfectly without re-design. I wonder if it is a restriction?

The original 2200 was like 105hp and 110tq.
The new ecotec is 142hp and 150tq.
