Ran this filter with Quakerstate Ultimate Protection 5w30 in my 2020 Ram 1500 Hemi for 7k.
There was some gritty sludge in bottom of the can. The Few ocis before this were all with Quaker state FS and a qt of Rislone so maybe it’s some broken up carbon from that or maybe the Ultimate Protection did a little cleaning as well?
Filter looked fine. Nitrile ADBV a little on the stiff side but that doesn't matter on this truck.
I finally decided to buy a cheap filter cutter on Amazon for like $17. Shoulda did that years ago I guess. I always just hacked them open with tin snips or a hack saw or something. My hands are getting arthritis these days so this little cutter was worth getting.
Truck has 66,300 miles on it.
