super clean filter, bad deal they use nitrile. i refuse any ABDV’s that are nitrile.

Just used one of these filters x1410 model on my Mitsubishi. It seemed to be a good filter from the outside. Now confirmed it will be capable for a 5K OCI. Mine was made in China.

ADBV feels like cardboard but at least still looks flexible with whatever heat cycles, time, mileage it has.
Serious question without hitting all the sticky's and university 101. How much does a stiffer ADBV like nitrile affect the system when mounted on a vehicle that opening's face up? Does it siphon out when sitting? Is it that it needs a bit more pressure for flow being stiffer or not sealing as well?
I have 11 more of the Ecogard X10479 to use on a 2021 Tucson and a 2010 Forte. They look just like the can in OP's picture. I have not cut any yet, just installed the first one Saturday. They will be in use for 4000-5000 miles based on vehicle.

An ADBV sill prevents the oil above the filter from draining out of the galleries when mounted vertical with the base up. Just look how much oil typically drains out of the galleries above a filter mounted like that when the filter is removed. If the ADBV gets stiff and warped from heat, it can start to not seal as well when the engine sits until the next start-up.
I have (3) Mazda's in my stable, so ADBV isn't necessary for those (OEM filter doesn't even have one.) For those that need it, the nitrile ADBV in these do get stiff pretty quick. I have a few C&P with them. Other than that they're great inexpensive filters.
