Just an update to this thread..

I only have one filter remaining from this case. I ran them on my 2021 Traverse, 2021 Equinox and 2016 Malibu. I cut open every used one of them. They've all held up perfectly w/ no abnormalities @ my 5000 mile OCIs. They consistently catch some carbon slurry out of my Equinox and Malibu. The Traverse always seems to stay clean. I've been running Valvoline Restore and Protect 5w30 exclusively for a few years now in my family fleet. I like these X2500's enough that I ordered another case of 12 off eBay. Came to $40.47 total. The only difference with the current case is they're a case of individually boxed X2500's as opposed to my previous "bulk pack" of X2500B's

I would assume they test every filter if there is a stamp there... There are much larger machines that test a lot of filters.

I would assume pressure drop

Would have to be a pretty good sized leak to see any significant pressure drop in a few seconds, whereas the under liquid test will detect a super small leak quickly.

Wonder if the liquid is water or some noncorrosive liquid.
