Ecogard S4651 cut open - 3000 miles

Ecogard S4651 from my 2019 Grand Cherokee 5.7L V8 with 71,000 miles. The filter was on for 3,000 miles with Valvoline Restore and Protect 5w30. It was my first run with this oil and lots of short trips. Same oil and filter went back in. Filter looks good and pleats looked pretty clean.

I like these filters so much I'm on my 2nd 12 pack of Ecogard X2500's (blue painted, non-synthetic) for the GM vehicles in my sig. I run them for my typical 4-5K mile OCIs and cut open to examine every one. They're built well and very consistent. I've been running nothing but Valvoline Restore & Protect 5w30 for a few years now. The 1.5 GDI turbo in my Equinox always winds up with some carbon dust in the bottom of the filter.

You can buy directly from them on Amazon at the EcoGard store. They run deals on assorted sizes intermittently so it’s worth checking every once in awhile.

I bought a 12 pack of them a while ago on ebay since both my Jeep and my father's Jeep have the 5.7L. I have 5 of these left.

Looks good minus some excess glue but that is not going anywhere.

I’ve used many EcoGards over the last few years. The Synthetic version on the Jeep and Ram and the standard version on my old Buick. Never one issue and all looked great inside after use.

Filter of topic is the Synthetic version from Ecogard (Premium Guard) so that is an average price at $10

Yeah i got ripped too a few times as my Honda and Mitsu both take these and as you know you can go smaller with the 4612 at a better deal.
