Echo 89 octane

All my Echo OPE (chainsaw, blower, hedge clippers) call for 89 octane fuel. I got in a hurry and without paying attention put 87 octane into my mixed gas container. My gas can now contains 1/2 gallon of 91 octane and 1 gallon of 87 octane. Should I just get rid of this gas and start fresh?

Echo's won't run well on 87. Random stalling, misfiring, and and your plug will be fouled out in no time. I'd go get more 93 octane for it. It's not worth the trouble. I've done it.

Actually lots of small 2 cycle engines are run on 87 every day and they run fine so I'm sure your machine will be fine on the bit of fuel you have as long as you use it up fairly fast .

If it has ethanol in it don't let it sit for more than a month or so , that's the biggest issue with 2 stroke or any power equipment is using fresh fuel that's ethanol free if possible .
