Easiest vehicle to change oil + filter ?

What vehicles are a piece of cake to change oil and filter ?

My '00 MB E430 is so easy to change oil + filter without getting under the car, with the help of an oil extractor I could suck out used oil as much as dropping drain bolt. Cartridge filter is on top of engine near the front bumper so that it is easy to change without extend the arm.

Cartridge filter on the car is so easy to remove, I remove the filter to take a peak every few thousand miles to be sure it still in good shape and no crud nor sludge on the filter.

Oil + filter can be changed without a drop of oil spilled on the car or garage floor. If most cars are so easy to do oil change, most lube places would be closed in no times.

I always enjoyed my F150 w/ 300in^3. Filter could be accessed on the side of the engine from the top....

My 91 BMW 318i is the easiest, with my 81, 83 and 85 MB diesels next easiest. All dont have belly pans, are high enough to drain into a standard pan without going up on ramps, with cartridge filters up top.

the BMW is slightly easier as the drain plug points foreward, so its right in front of your eyes, the MB you either go in behind the tire or do it by feel... still, for capturing an oil sample, its nice to point forward.

My fiance's 2008 Chevy Cobalt with a 2.2L. Cartridge oil filter on the driver front side of the engine and nothing in the way of the drain plug. You need to have a big socket for the filter, but other than that, it's done in 20 minutes of actual work.

The engine in my Nissan has an element filter, with an alloy housing, with a half inch drive on the end. Engage a ratchet, turn it until an arrow lines up, and the oil drains out the housing into a little tundish that has a line taking the waste to the underside of the car over the pan.

80's 4 cyl subarus. filter and oil drain are in the front. you don't have to get underneath or lay down to reach anything.

Yep, me too. Have been running this setup since '77. I imagine any inline six or 4 banger would be similarly easy.

the dodge colt is a piece of cake, mitsubishi 1.5l i4, the ford forcus is easy as pie, and the subarus are all really nice, except one time I was really high on pot and drained the transmission by mistake, discovered the crank case was really full when i added 4 more litres (to the undrained), which required towing to dealership, of course. that was one of the most expensive oil changes ever. which calls for a new thread!!!

I used to have an 83 240D and I agree it was very easy. I do think that my current Yukon is even easier. The oil filters is straight up and down and right next to the drain plug. Very easy.

83-84 (Datsun)Nissan Maxima w/inline 6 cyl. One could change the oil, oil filter, air filter, spark plugs and wires in 10 minutes ir less. 3 miles on each side of engine. Filter from the top.

my current tacoma is the easiest i have owned. Cartridge filter on top and plenty of room underneath for the plug.

My Ford Pickup with the 6.9 diesel. Since its a 4X4 you can crawl under it to do the job. My 68 Plymouth comes in second with ease of R&R of filter from top-side.

My 91 4 cyl Dakota--screw off filter on side, reach underneath and remove drain plug. Piece of cake.

3rd Gen Taurus SHO's. Easiest car I've ever dealt with. The filter is vertical right underneath the car about 12 inches from the drain plug. Very easy.

There is SO MUCH room under there!!!
Oil filter is out in the open.

My V6 Hyundai Santa Fe is the easiest. With my F-Valve on it, I don't even have to jack the car up to do it if I wanted to!

My Nissan Titan is really easy. Hardest thing is removing the skidplate.

Drain plug is really easy to get too. Filter is right behind the front bumper. You can grab it with both hands.
