NOT POLITICAL! Please don't make it so. Instead of telling us how this party or politician or that party or politician sucks, go out and vote, or go run for office. But don't bring that kruft to BITOG!

I arrived at the township building around 11:20 and the line was outside due to the number of folks and social distancing.

Once inside, my temperature was taken. I filled out a form to request to early vote. A poll worker looked up my registration and once validated, I was given the card for an electronic ballot and directed to an unoccupied station to vote.

They used cotton swabs with a long wooden stick, the kind you see at the doctor or dentist office, as an improvised stylus.

There was plenty of PPE, hand sanitizer and frequent cleaning of commonly used items like the pens for the ballot application and the electronic cards.

Well done XXXXXX County!

Took almost exactly 30 minutes from the time I lined up to the time I walked out the door with an I voted sticker.

We voted in person (3 of us) … very well organized … safer than my doctor’s waiting area …
Germ-X and mask required
1) showed registration cards and photo ID
2) issued a ballot with my bar code on it …
3) insert it and vote on the machine … then print
4) insert the ballot in tally machine … (staff controlled movements)
Germ-X out at exit … all one way people flow … about 20 minutes …

Yep

Got a sample ballot for my precinct and check out the Supreme Court judges on my ballot as well as the down ballot judges as well. We had National, State Wide and County issues and judges on the ballot.

My dad is a retired attorney. He expects the whole family to research judges and select which one(s) to vote for. Many don't.

Voted last week.
Walked in, had mask on, given a finger condom, went to desk and showed ID (hand sanitizer at desk), signed form (pen wiped down by volunteer), given ticket with number, went to booth, put on finger condom and voted. Booth wiped down by another volunteer when done.
Took less than 20 minutes total from time I turned truck off to truck started again.

Most judges are very, low-key when it comes to any "platform" they have. And they better be too 'cause in Ohio, judges are (supposed to be) non-partisan. The only real research you can do is look at cases and how they ruled.
I’ll say one thing, I’m at the point of being sick and tired of seeing every website and sign reminding me to vote. I’ll remember thank you, just like every other time.
Same here. I want an "I already voted, quit bugging me" button to click !

Interesting. I presume this is the same place that you normally vote too ? In Ohio, early voting only takes place at the county board of elections location.

My employer is paying us half a day to come in early or late so we can vote, with the option to take the rest of the day off (must use vacation time for the other half). I’ll update later how the actual process is, we just moved to a new county.

Wifey sat down at kitchen table and voted. Did my best to forget the tv commercails saying vote yes/no on 22. Or whatever.
Took an hour or more; we wanted to understand what a yes or no vote really meant.

Then took a drive to downtown and dropped off the ballots. All good. Feels great to vote!

Just so you know, and presuming you're in Illinois, they have to do this. Well, it may not be ~4 hours, but state law requires them to give you some amount of (paid) time to vote.

Voted at the local Board of Elections.
Very clean and we'll marked off to maintain distances. Employees and volunteers were very helpful.
In and out in less than 20 minutes.
