So this filter was on a 2014 Malibu with the "Eco Tec" 2.5? Engine. Unknown mileage also. Car came back to is on flatbed as it had roughly 5 gallons of diesel in the tank. After a thorough flushing of the fuel system, and a oil change with MaxLife 5w20 Blend and a WIX #57060, the car is on the road again. Enjoy the pics.

It's not because the date code is the wrong format. Purolator uses their same date code format on all the "made for" clones they make.

Had a nice lil' cross reference on one side of can and "made in China" on it too. Probably same company that makes Prime Guard, Pronto and Premium Guard is my guess

Wouldn't be the first time I've heard about someone accidentally putting diesel fuel in a gasoline car.

The filter looks good. Please seem pretty straight. Looks to have pretty solid construction.

Looks really good for a cheapo filter! I've stopped 2 people at gas stations from putting diesel in their gasoline cars. Luckily the diesel nozzle wouldn't fit in the one woman's tank by the time I saw it & told her she was on the diesel pump...
