At the time, I was looking for a few small parts in the junkyard for one of my vehicles, and I was apalled at the quantity of clean and otherwise nice SUVs that every junkyard was packed with, wall-to-wall. All had arrived courtesy of Cash for Clunkers and had their engines seized. Too bad I wasn't looking for any Jeep Grand Cherokee or Ford Explorer parts! They were everywhere for awhile, until they all got crushed. What a waste.

At some point certain cars are either held onto by the original owners who will almost never part with them, or by modders who get rid of them when the mods exceed their time/budget. The original ones that are un-modded will command a much higher price due to the state of the car, and the modders who are looking for an exit will ask for an exorbitant price to recoup what they spent on the car. Either way, the buyer looking for one is stuck paying more money or more time.

Close, a few miles south of Austin, Where people brag about having kids just to get a bigger tax return this year. The same people use medicaid, medicare, WIC for generations to support their families.
I asked a young lady why she didn't want to pursue a higher education once, when they would have paid for 99% of it.
Her response "SHOOT WHITEY,I DRIVE A NEW LEXUS, HAVE FREE CHILD CARE WHEN I GO TO PARTIES, AND I DON'T HAVE TO #$## WORK". Here, this is the norm, not the exception to the rule.

people are so trashy here it's almost depressing. North of Round Rock is where I can start to tolerate people

I have it smoke like a train for a purpose.
1. To make tailgaters BACK OFF
2. To make the little punk kid playing rap music with his windows down..PUT THEM UP fast
3. The "smart" ones hear/see me coming and don't pull right out in front of me..THE DUMB ONES..EEHH GET BLASTED
4. A STACK ON A F350 PSD is WAY cooler than a cheezy [censored] can on a honda twerp car.

Who make you the dictator of the highways? Enjoy being a road vigilante and making folks hate diesels all the more.

Only in your head.

Which is probably how the "honda twerp car" owners feel.

I hope the "rolling coal" crowd realizes that the black smoke is unburnt fuel. Essentially money being dumped out the stacks. It smells bad, makes the truck look like it's broken, and isn't helping the case for diesels.

Anytime I see visible smoke coming out of exhaust, be it a Civic or a 1 ton pickup, I think "what a POS, better get around it so I don't have to smell this [censored]."

Not at all...spot on, in fact. C4C destroyed hundreds of thousands of perfectly good vehicles for nothing.

Yeah i think the same thing. Im a diesel truck owner and it [censored] me off when i see people just dumping smoke because it gives all of us a bad rep and has only made diesel emissions stricter and more of a pain.

I wish people would get over their ego problems.

No, SHE called me whitey....

Yea I have an ego problem. RIGGGHT! I just HATE the way people tailgate and ride my [censored] thinking they are cool. The ghetto twerps play fast and the furious in their little [censored] boxes while playing RAP music.

My diesel truck will still outrun their little [censored] boxes and sound cool doing it. THERE WILL ALWAYS BE WAYS AROUND EMISSIONS..BUDDY RELAX! it's called EGR delete, Straight pipe/stack, tuner and some gauges to monitor the important stuff..For every emission device on the truck, their will always be a way to do away with it..

not at all, and besides that, it's none of your business what people do with their own vehicles.

why would she do that? nice dog whistle, by the way.

So, FXJohn, if you have a different opinion of C for C I'd love to hear it.

But the facts say that thousands of running used cars were destroyed.

the cars were private property and the owners can do whatever they want with them. no one made them do anything, and to say it affected you in finding a used car is a joke.
