DTC P0446 and P1300

I changed the oil earlier today at my mechanic and I asked him to hook up the scan tool, since I have had P0446 on for a month already, but have not yet had it fixed, I asked him to clear it, so it doesn't burn out the check engine light. He read the codes and saw that in addition to P0446 was also P1300. I had this code before pop up when I had a bad alternator and the ignitor circuit wasn't getting enough voltage, but my alternator is good (just replaced about 2 months ago). P1300 says "Igniter Circuit Malfunction." Other than the ignitor (which is only 2 yrs old) what are some possible causes?

Make? model? year?
If the actual battery voltage is OK ~13.5 V , I'd make sure the grounds one the ignition box are clean and shiny .

Ah yes, 97 Toy Avalon. Yes, I checked the grounds, looks clean and rust-free.
