I have an 09 wrangler jk. The jk is known to have problems with dry starts if you get an oil filter that dosent have a decent anti drain back valve. I have never had problems with bosch filters and draining back but twice now i've started my jeep and it sounds like the motor is jumping out of the hood for about 1-2 seconds. What should I do? Change the oil and put in a napa gold is what I was thinking. Any suggestions?

You don't need to change the oil to change the filter. While the vehicle is off, remove the filter and whatever is in the filter and some excess will come out, usually 1/2 quart on Wranglers. Then put the new filter on, and add the same amount back into the engine(top it off) start it up and then check the oil again to make sure its at proper level.
