Hi,

I have a Nissan Rogue and am going to drop the trans pan to change the filter. I had a Nissan tech tell me years ago they recommend using sealant as the gasket now. However the parts guy said to use the regular gasket.

Does anyone happen to be a Nissan tech and know what I should use?

What do you guys suggest?

Thanks

Got it. Thanks

Don't bother, just drain and refill the CVT fluid. It takes between 4.5-4.75 quarts depending on how long you allow the fluid to drain for. Getting the fluid level correct on these is critical or else you may have the overheating issue. Regardless of what maintenance performed, these transmissions tend to fail early.
