Yes, you may ask...my wife... (who is reading this as I write it)

She wanted to be independent. I had bought her two M1's which she used up, then I was cross-country-shuttling for work she liked the 50's vibe of OCH so she went there and never asked me to change or buy her new filters. I didn't want to ruffle more feathers.

Yes the 50's vibe is alluring to some...I hated it until I played Fallout 3. Anyways back to this wife reading as you typed. Was her face blushed with shame or was she more than likely rollin' her eyes at us and you for being psycho about a piece of metal that goes under the car? Quite sure the latter...

someone here was saying what a bad car the focus was...my 2007 focus gets 38 mpg and runs strong at 63,000 miles...mostly synthetic...i would say most focuses are 2.0 but lube guy should double check...filter is on front bottom of engine, real easy to change...that motor will be fine as long as it didnt leak

To the OP,

Either filter will work, your car is not gonna blow up by using one or the other.

Yes, there are better filters out there, millions of cars fun honeywell/Fram filters and yet they arent blwoing up left and right.

I pefer DIY but I can understand the value of quick lube places.
