My brother didn't make it home this morning. I won't post in this thread again, but I wanted to share my personal experience as a riposte to a couple of recent threads...

Very sorry for your loss

There are enough people dieing of things that are out of human control (cancer, heart problems ...) ... it is sad when it can be prevented and is a result of a coherent decision.

Drinking and driving don't mix, ever. Sorry to hear of your loss. I lost my whole family to a drunk driver when I was 12. I was the only survivor of the crash (it was no accident). To drive after any amount of alcohol is unthinkable.

I am sorry for your loss.

As we were "discussing" the absolute stupidity of a member who felt it was his right as a citizen to drive impaired I can only hope he sees this thread and will finally accept responsibility for his blatantly careless and stupid actions, and understand his choices can affect others and in your particular circumstance a loved one is lost due to a persons assumption it's ok to drive impaired.
A life stolen in this manner is worse than most any other. A person driving down the road minding his own business suddenly killed because of someone else's disregard for sense and decency.

I am truly sorry for your loss. I hope the impaired driver gets what he/she deserves,in this life and the next.

I'm also very sorry for you and your family's loss.

I believe that any driver that kills another person while they are behind the wheel DUI is guilty of first degree murder, I would give the subject the death penalty.

Jesus, that's horrible. Something similar happened to my grandfather.
