Driveability Issues with Advanced Powertrains

What do folks expect from an Edmunds HIT PIECE.
When is the last time they reported favorably on anything GM.

Really...if they can't find or make up something to critique; they will gladly resort to condemning the whole vehicle for cup holders IMHO.

My advice is to go drive the car for yourself.
I did and I bought a Cruze ECO based on the experience.

Really? I had a '95 (same engine and transmission) and never noticed that.

Either way, that engine very definitely was NOT an eco engine. Fuel economy was one of its goals, but not the main one by a long shot. It was mainly about midrange torque, throttle response, and reliability (all of which are relative terms, of course).
