Drinking and driving, a reminder you never want to be in.

In my state they recently softened up the weed laws and made blacked out window tint not a "primary pull over" offense. I now smell weed at nearly every intersection. Look around at the stoplights and everyone is on their phones or eating a #2 combo. There are a ton of drivers on the roads these days who are every bit as dangerous behind the wheel as anyone would want to encounter.

We have epidemic drunk driving in New Mexico. It makes the news when someone is convicted of more than 10 DUIs. Not uncommon. I remember one with 11 convictions and 17 arrests. There is a huge issue in Albuquerque where a ring of city and State police were paid by an attorney to NOT show up in court for DUI cases. The perp got charged dismissed and the cops got cash. Hiundreds of cases dismissed. Now the cops quit or got fired. Some cops and attorneys charged. All should be in prison

Yeah, the laws don't apply to all of us equally. Money talks.
Regardless, I never could handle liquor and that will never change. Total abstinence is the only answer in my case.
