"obbop! Are you sure you don't feel stupid already?"
The gauntlet has been thrown down.
Wheeeee!!!!!
In a sense of fun and frivolity.......
Allow me to refer to jonny-b's earlier written utterances, beginning with the first post dated September 09, 2006:
"seems to work" subjective opinion with a built-in buzzword.
"Since the car I installed it in(yesterday)" "It will take some 2-3 months(and 12-13000 miles) to get accurate numbers on both cars" You seem to be mighty defensive of something you have not had time to adequately test yet.
"I am going to order the second unit, 11 days from now" Will ordering 10 or 12 days from now affect the testing of the device?
"It is a Japanese invention, and they don't like to loose face, so I thought it would be a better chance that this thing worked, than if it was made in the US." Is there any research to back up your proclamation? Would the same logic apply if the device was created in Swaziland?
"...testing performed at Toyota in Japan" any links to this TOYOTA testing?
"The third thing, was the findings of the Maxima driver from New York, that bought the device and reported his findings." Well, a guy from the USA. He doesn't care about "saving face" so why should his pronouncements be worth anything?
"...the noise from the engine have been reduced some 20-30% and the acceleration is remarkebly faster." You want me to believe your statement based upon subjective opinion? Or do you have a decibelmeter and an accelerometer to give credence to an opinion that may or not be biased?
"...before I know for sure this is THE REAL THING"
I have seen this type of wording and writing style in too many spam e-mails and on-line ads for snake oil-type offerings. Shouldn't you try to be a wee bit more original with your writing?
"I'll let you know my findings, probably in the month of December." Again, you are being VERY defensive for a product you have stated as not having been adequately tested yet. Golly, this thread reads more like the spam-infested thread on the other Maxima.org site.
On to a later posting in this same thread:
"It is very fun to see all the people having so many ideas of what this product is, and what it does, without testing it themselves." You, yourself, stated you have not tested the product adequately and that the final results would be posted in December of what I assume would be this year.
"If you haven't tried it, all your writing would only be (qalified) guesswork." without the use of the scientific method and your apparent lack of proper instrumentation then all you have written is, also, "guesswork."
"I am also purchasing another unit to the cost of 310USD, within two weeks" money tight? You told us it would be 11 days when you bought the 2nd unit. Why would a legitimate poster feel the need to enter info such as the supposed exact date when an item would be purchased? You are assuredly unaware that basic human psychology has shown your true motives. Your inclusion of pricing and buying dates is outside the norm of a typical non-commercial post. You have been outted. Your post is designed to advertise a product, NOT to inform others in a general fashion. You can not stymie the superior mentality. I KNOW others hereabouts have seen through your thinly-veiled guise and all your foot-stamping and name calling can not alter the situation except make you appear even more ignorant than you are.
More fallacy finding to follow
