Ever since I was like 10 I have wanted two cars, both are sexy Italians:

What are your dream cars? I'm 355 shopping in a couple of years, but the F40 might take awhile.

A Porsche 996 turbo. Or any AWD Porsche. Daily driver supercars.

I'd also like to have about a 1980 Caprice with a built turbocharged LSX and all the goodies. Preferably with a little rust, but that's just me. I'm going to build a 9 second sleeper in my life.

No surprise on the F40, it is the greatest supercar of all time.
I have wanted one since I was a kid too, I still have the poster I bought as a kid back in 1990, a gorgeous red Ferrari F40.

I also love the 355, and the 512.

One of the other cars I love so much is the B7 Audi RS-4.

It certainly was in it's day, but now?

Thats really true. I was in Barnes and Noble some time back and saw there was a road test that put the F40 against something else. For being beautiful on the outside, it seems kind of spartan on the inside...

Id just want a Porsche 911 turbo, One of those nice ferarri convertibles like I saw at a gas station in Italy this last spring (not sure of the number, but it is very new) in light blue, and a like-new, 1970's W115 MB 300CD in a great one-stage paint color from back in the day, maybe a seafoam green (non metallic) or something like that...

After spending time in one at the track I can say that this car and the ZO6 both overpower their driving wheels so easily that they could kill you.

Even the Z cannot get solid traction until around 100 mph!!!!

They really do need R6es in order to have decent bite, as even the runflat Pilot Sport CUPS make them what one would call "under-tired".

If the R6es are STILL not enough, there are always full race Michelin, Pirelli, GY, or Yok slicks in medium to soft compounds!

I always wanted to buy an RV, not to commute to work, but just park near work, so I can take a nap in there once in a while. Wife wants the same thing at her work place too.

Does that count?

Ha. There are too many to list.

For something I would have to drive everyday? Put me in the 993 Turbo camp. Maybe a Ferrari FF could make a run for that spot.

I always had a soft spot for the 355 too. '67 Vette 427/435 black with red scoop. Or white scoop. Or any color would be fine...

250GT, XK120, DB5...see the list is starting.

As far as still being iconic, most definitely. That car and the Porsche 959 created supercars.

Like fine wine good cars get better with age, which is why you can buy 5 brand new SLS Mercedes for the price of one original Gullwing, and in a few years when the SLS's go down in value and the Gullwing goes up it will probably be a bakers dozen...

The F40 was the first street legal production car that could crack 200mph, the 959 was right behind it.

The 959 was the Veyron of its day, a real moonshot in vehicle technology. Porsche wasn't just trying to make a very fast car like Ferrari was, they were trying to make a very fast car that was easy to drive very fast. Today we take it for granted.

Than the F1 came along and showed everyone how to make a car out of carbon fiber, and what an unlimited budget buys you.

It took a long time before another car that was faster than the F1 was built, and even than it wasn't that much faster flat out...
